JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the daily functions of the Food Safety and Quality department within Slaughter operations and supervise a team QA/QC Technicians and job responsibilities.
Responsabilities:
Oversee the QC/QA and Food Safety department personnel and enforces all of the company policies and procedures.
Assist in the planning and implementation of quality control programs and procedures in order to ensure that processes and product complies with government regulations, meets customer requirements and company expectations.
Ensure all employees are following and implementation Animal Welfare, GMPs, SSOPs, HACCP, and SQF Programs, Procedures and Policies.
Must be HACCP Certified and have on the job experience with SQF and HACCP Programs.
Visually inspect and audit QC team performance, documentation, and company adherence to all related QC programs.
Monitor performance of department employees to ensure they follow established standards and procedures.
Record and maintain all QC, QA, Program compliance records.
Monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system.
Conduct internal audits, validations, and verifications to ensure compliance with company, SQF, customer, and USDA FSIS expectations.
Assist and communicate with operational management to address any quality, food safety and/or regulatory concerns.
Assist in the evaluation, development and training of department personnel to maintain all SQF and regulatory requirements. Assist direct reports with appropriate coaching in order to build their skills and decision-making process.
