Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Support executive decisions with BI data. The Director of Business Development will be tasked with identifying new markets and potential growth opportunities, including possible new products.

Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Directs, establishes, maintains, and plans the overall policies and goals for the Business Development Department.
Identifies and helps to develop market opportunities and strategic relationships with partners or potential customers and negotiates agreements.
Coordinates implementation of business development initiatives with a matrix organization consisting of marketing, domestic/ international sales and product development teams to align with the company's group growth strategy.

Operational and strategic:
Identify new and unexplored market opportunities, domestic and internationalIdentify and create value that is consistent and has a long- term sustainable benefit for CompanyIdentify new domains/products/sectors eligible for business expansion, which may complement the existing businessIdentify new market segments to new sales channels that enable.
Company to sell through to other, related products or services in our marketplacePrioritize identified business opportunities to the costs and benefits => create Road MapsConsistently screen our current market (domestic and international) and identify future demands => provide a SWOT analysisDevelop a business expansion plan and outline realistic goals, identify product and market penetration and expansionPrepare and facilitate strategic business decisionsDevelop customer profilesWork and link with other teams in Company on group level (e.g., product management, marketing, domestic / international sales and manufacturing/operations).
ResearchConduct research to identify new markets and customer needs (domestic and international)Research for contracts, bids and opportunities that Company can take to increase revenue channels.
Subscribe to industry related databases, forums and blogsCompetitive AnalysisConsistently monitor our market and determine our Company's top competitorsSet up a criteria or mechanism of comparison (choosing different variables - strengths / weaknesses or in other form as price, product quality, exposure, brand reputation, etc.)
Identify which projects Company's competitors are targeting within our market segment, assess and develop an offering that can win this business from themCollect industry data from public sources for use in research and market analysis.
Conduct SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) and utilize to minimize business weaknesses and maximize business strengthsMonitor the current state of our industry sector and define growth projectionsMonitor competitor developmentsAttend industry events, exhibitions, seminars, conferences and trade shows.

Experience:
Bachelor's degree is required, MBA is a plus10+ years of management experience with demonstrated success in business development
Experience in competitive analysis, contract negotiation and program management.
