This position is responsible for providing innovation and leadership in developing the Business Intelligence function and utilization across the enterprise.
The Sr. Business Intelligence Architect's role is to provide strategic and technical leadership in design, development, implementation and support of SAP and other BI solutions.
Assess and cultivate long-term strategic goals for SAP and other BI development in conjunction with end users, managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with project managers and business unit leaders for all projects involving enterprise data.
Lead the integration efforts for emerging SAP and other BI platforms with enterprise systems and applications.Manage the governance, stewardship, and frameworks for managing data across the organization. Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
Direct, organize, and lead projects in the implementation and use of new SAP and other BI software tools and systems that support the business teams with leading edge business intelligence capabilities.
Analyze user requirements and, based on findings, design functional specifications for BI front-end applications. Design and deliver end-user training and training materials; provide technical support as necessary.
Ensure complete understanding of business needs and requirements to lead consultants on major projects to a successful completion.
Document the data architecture and environment to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture. Manage BI administrative tasks, including software installation, user setup, configuration, report distribution, etc.

Provide architectural support for new deployments including:
determining customer needs, creating proof of concepts, performing data modeling/ transformations, testing designs, determining appropriate end user tools, implementing, maintaining, and distributing reports.
Monitor and respond to various user support and development requests to determine if a new process is needed or if data from other systems can be used in different ways to increase customer efficiency.
Communicate potential problems, recommend solutions and report progress to management regarding ongoing projects.Coordinate and work with other technical staff to develop database architectures, coding standards, and quality assurance policies and procedures. Participate in the creation of BI/BW development standards while adhering to enterprise policies, best practices, methodologies, standards and guidelines.
Troubleshoot SAP BI tools, systems, and software; performance-tune these applications as necessary.

Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.PMP certification desiredITIL certification desiredExperience and SkillsGenerally.
8+years of relevant hands-on and project management experience using SAP BI tools, including BEx Analyzer, Analysis for Office, Business Objects 4.x, and SAP BW, Data Services and ABAP.Experience with data modeling, ETL practices and querying using SQL or HANAExperience with SAP BPC for planning and consolidation, EPM Add-In and HANA a plusMust possess strong working knowledge of Excel and VBA macros.
Must have relevant reporting/analysis experience in Retail, Sales, Marketing or Finance fields.Experience with ASP.net, VB.net and HTML a plus.Mastery of BI technical functions including data acquisition, transformation, loading, data modeling, query definition, SAP BI and Business Objects.
Demonstrated proficiency in requirements gathering and interpretation in a business intelligence environment - ABAP skills preferredSuperior technical, analytical and critical thinking skills to accurately understand how the scope, design, and implementation will impact a customer.Strong organization, communication and facilitation skills along with a desire and ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment.Ability to manage and direct tasks and resources in major software development initiatives, as well as manage a project portfolio.
