JobDescription:

The Specialist will be responsible for analysis of complex legacyprogram modules, coding and testing of new and existing modules for majormodifications to legacy applications

The NC Department of Transportation (NCDOT) is seeking to fill a shortterm (approx. 12 month) contractor assignment. The selected candidate will fillthe role of Specialist on the State Automated Driver License System(SADLS). TheSpecialist will be responsible for analysis of complex legacy program modules,coding and testing of new and existing modules for major modifications tolegacy applications.

Role responsibilities:

o  Analyze, define, and document requirements fordata and business processes

o  Document the program and project deliverables asassigned

o  Provide quality control for project deliverables

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

Must Have:

o  Minimum of 1 year of experience exposing CICSand COBOL programs as web services via CICS Transaction Server (CTS)

o  Proven knowledge of principles and techniques ofcomputer programming, testing, debugging, implementation and documentation.

o  Excellent communication skill (written, verbal,presentations)

o  Ability to resolve highly complex problems.

o  Self-starter who can work with a large anddiverse team of business, management and IT individuals.

o  Microsoft Suite experience (e.g, Word, Excel,PowerPoint), COBOL, CICS, TSO, MVS JCL, ENDEVOR, CA Tools, SQL, DB2 and VSAM.

Preferred:

o  Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Experience
