Daily Duties/Responsibilities:

Duties: Automate management of largedistributed systems.  Resolving issues that arise in complex softwaredeployments.  Build and enhance the tooling needed to deploy and operateapplications and services in cloud based environments.  Constantly improveoperational processes and efficiency.  Focus on customer facing serviceavailability, and design systems that are resilient to failure amidstexponential growth.
Skills: Hands on experience with infrastructure configuration managementsoftware such as Chef, Puppet, or SaltStack.  Experience deploying andusing distributed systems like Kafka, Storm, ElasticSearch, various componentsof the Hadoop ecosystem.  Operational excellence through tool development,monitoring, logging, reporting, controls and automation. Experience with one ormore of Logstash, ElasticSearch, Nagios or Ganglia.  Experience buildingcloud infrastructure with providers such as AWS, VMWare or OpenStack.  Enjoylearning new technology; demonstrated ability to master new skills. Ability to work in a small Agile team. 3 - 6 YOE
