Summary:

This position requires a person who has senior levelconsultation expertise in a specific and defined area of systems.  Thisposition will have current subject matter experience not only in design anddevelopment but also in current deployment practices. This engineer will havecontacts within the industry that will allow for continuous updating ofindustry practice information.  SME in LinuxOperating system with Strong Virtualization knowledge with VMware and/or Azure·

 Lead automationefforts for Linux within virtual server builds and capacity management·

 Architect and developcustomer solutions based on current hands-on knowledge Linux VM on·

VMware and or Azure

 Experience in writingShell or Perl script·

 Able to learn newtechnologies as needed and open to changing technological direction as·

required by the team to lead new projects and initiatives

 Experience in SAN andNAS Storage, RAID and LVM Management·

o Good knowledge about the Virtualization and Cluster(Veritas Cluster Services, etc.)

o Apache, Squid, LDAP, MySQL, PHP server Administration

o NIS, NFS, FTP, SAMBA IPTABLES, DNS, SNMP, DHCP and SNMPadministration

 Working knowledge onYUM/Satellite Server·

 Understanding withconfiguration management tools (Puppet, Chef, etc.)·

 Patch·& Package management, Security, Server hardening, etc.

 User Management,Performance Analysis, capacity planning and monitoring·

 TroubleshootingHardware and Operating system related issue·

 Configuration andadministration of LVM and Veritas logical volume manager·

 Installation andconfiguration of HA environment using Linux cluster or Veritas Cluster·

 Excellentcommunication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written)·

 Able to providetechnical solutions on various requirements·

 Experience in ServerManagement (Server build/ migration, etc.)·

 Should have used anybackup management software i.e. TSM,·

 PreferredCertification in Red Hat Linux.·
