QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working knowledge of security concepts and strategies, including network, Internet, and platform security.
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment towards successful results for the company.
• Requires technical, problem solving, and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written skills are required in order to communicate to all levels within the company and vendors.
• Proven expertise in handling user problems and vendor relationships.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience.
• Certifications in Security+, GIAC, CISCO, MCSA, etc.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
• Assess the need for any security re configurations and execute them if required.
• These include but are not limited to the implementation of penetration testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities.
• Keep current with emerging security alerts and issues through research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.
• Assist in the deployment, management and maintenance of all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software.
• Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.Manage connection security for local area networks, the company Web site, the company intranet, and e-mail communications.
• Design, implement, and report on security system and end user activity audits.Monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity.
