Role: DevOps Engineer
Location:Reno, NV
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working knowledge of security concepts and strategies, including network, Internet, and platform security.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment towards successful results for the company.
- Requires technical, problem solving, and negotiation skills. Excellent verbal and written skills are required in order to communicate to all levels within the company and vendors.
- Proven expertise in handling user problems and vendor relationships.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience.
- Certifications in Security+, GIAC, CISCO, MCSA, etc.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Develop, implement, maintain, and oversee enforcement of policies, procedures and associated plans for system security administration and user system access based on industry-standard best practices.
- Assess the need for any security re configurations and execute them if required.
- These include but are not limited to the implementation of penetration testing of all systems in order to identify system vulnerabilities.
- Keep current with emerging security alerts and issues through research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancement and development efforts.
- Recommend, schedule, and perform security improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.
- Assist in the deployment, management and maintenance of all security systems and their corresponding or associated software, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, cryptography systems, and anti-virus software.
- Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.Manage connection security for local area networks, the company Web site, the company intranet, and e-mail communications.
- Design, implement, and report on security system and end user activity audits.Monitor server logs, firewall logs, intrusion detection logs, and network traffic for unusual or suspicious activity.
- Interpret activity and make recommendations for resolutionManage/interpret data from Sandbox, SIEM and Security logging appliancesRecommend, schedule (where appropriate), and apply fixes, security patches, disaster recovery procedures, and any other measures required in the event of a security breach.
- Design, build, and/or maintain web sites using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital mediaPerform or direct web site updatesConfer with management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria, or choose solutions.
- Back up files from web sites to local directories for instant recovery in case of problems.Identify problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback, and correct problems or refer problems to appropriate personnel for correction.
- Evaluate code to ensure that it is valid, is properly structured, meets industry standards and is compatible with browsers, devices, or operating systems.

- Develop or validate test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfaces and address all browser and device types.
