Job Description:
Candidates NEED TO HAVE:
1. WebSphere experience up to at least 7.0 (Uline running 8.5 now)
2. design experience if they are on the higher end of the rate
3. longevity within their contracts of at least one 18-month stint in the past 4 years (ask when the last time they got extended was)
4. be able to talk about there development in terms of how it effected the business
5. newer technologies like AngularJS, NodeJS, etc. (especially if they are on the higher end of the rate)

Position Summary (6 OPENINGS)
Design, develop, implement, support and maintain complex software applications. Create and maintain user interface patterns and standard library. Implement Java solutions using best OO heuristics. Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues. Maintain code quality through unit testing. Document code appropriately for maintainability. Work with team members from beginning of product life cycle through release of application.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree preferred Strong knowledge of WebSphere, Java and Java web applications. Working knowledge of JDBC, SQL and database stored procedures. 2 years java development experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
support a number of applications -- 2 custom applications (RPC), have a couple of 3rd party packages and have written integration services (back-end)
RPT, Java, J2EE, run applications on Websphere -- DB2 is the main database they use (some Oracle on third party applications)
looking for Senior developers who are very skilled at design (looking at Websphere Liberty platform) -- on version 8.5.5.7 of Websphere right now
also open to mid-level and junior developers as well
design is a key skill set, along with SQL experience and UI -- moving to AngularJS, Spring and Hybernate would be attractive
design is really important
more junior developers would be on Doug O'Reilly's team
number in excess of 10 developers on the two (2) teams -- Senior level developers FIRST, then more junior developers (3 senior - 7 junior developers)
knowing design patterns is a must for senior developers
Java test and writing test, plus a numbers (logic test) -- be prepared to take those tests seriously
listed all technologies they have ever touched is a HUGE RED FLAG
