An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance and special program access is required pre-start
Bachelorâ's degree in engineering or technical related discipline; ten (10) or more years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable
Successfully completed a Tier 5 Investigation (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) by the federal government within the last 6 years or have been enrolled in a Continuous Evaluation program such that periodic updates are no longer required
Ability to obtain a CI and/or Full Scope Polygraph
DoD 8570 IAT Level III Certification
Experience working with government customers and government programs
Previous cyber security or technical leadership experience
Education/experience:
9 or more years\' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years\' related work experience, Master+7 years\' related work experience)Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for applying an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop, validate and verify life-cycle balanced information system security solutions
Implements appropriate Assessment and Authorization activities per JSIG, DoD and ICD 503 RMF, NISPOM, or DoD Overprint to the NISPOM as required by customers
Coordinates with the government customers, program management, system administrators, network and software engineers, and test and validation engineers on security related activities, requirements, and deliverables
Develops and maintains information system security documentation for program Assessment and Authorization activities
Identifies assets and assesses risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of the product assets in accordance with accepted industry, professional, and government standards to ensure security design integrity, availability, confidentiality, non-repudiation and contract compliance
Evaluates remediation recommendations and develops a mitigation plan including cost estimates
Employs system security processes, methods, and tools and assures their consistent application
Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions
Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system security requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces
Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture
Performs analyses for vulnerability, certification, system security, affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, susceptibility, regulatory, product assurance and other specialties quality factor into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success
Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of security requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes
Resolves cross-functional technical issues
Local travel (25%) will be required for meetings with customers, internal meetings, etc
