HR Systems Analyst Location:Bowie, MD, USA
Qualifications â?¢ Working knowledge of PeopleSoft-Query is required â?¢ Progressively responsible experience in a position that requires data administration/analysis, testing, upgrades and system implementation â?¢ Knowledge of Human Resources/Payroll/Budget departmental functionality â?¢ Knowledge of Human Resources best practices â?¢ Strategic and analytical thinking skills with an ability to solve problems and make decisions â?¢ Ability to network and interact, as well as collaborate with key groups and individuals â?¢ Ability to prioritize ongoing research and gather information â?¢ Consultation and change skills â?¢ Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills â?¢ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team â?¢ Skill in exercising initiative, resourcefulness, and sound judgement with an ability to solve problems and make decisions â?¢ Skill in communicating efficiently and effectively both orally and in writing with a variety of people internal and external to the organization â?¢ Skill in quality assurance â?¢ Skill in relevant PC applications â?¢ User Interface Customizations â?¢ Business Process Analysis â?¢ Knowledge of Functional: Testing, training, documentation, and reporting â?¢ Ability to work evenings, weekends and early morning hours if required â?¢ May need to travel locally â?¢ Do you have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related discipline? â?¢ Do you have a minimum of five (5) years of experience working with Human Resources Information Systems or a combination of formal education and experience? â?¢ Do you have functional experience in supporting Oracle/PeopleSoft HCM version 8.9 and above? â?¢ Do you possess extensive experience in data administration/analysis, testing, upgrades and system implementation? â?¢ Cover Letter/Letter of Application | Responsibilities â?¢ Provide functional and technical support to HR/Payroll/Budget and other departments within the division â?¢ Will serve as a technical expert for PeopleSoft Human Resources, and as needed, payroll processes â?¢ Research and resolve production ad processing issues â?¢ Maintain organizational level changes in the HCM system â?¢ Prepare and document functional specs and coordinate major project initiatives including analysis, design, functional testing, functional training, and rollout â?¢ Lead Quality Assurance tasks by developing and running test scripts, verification and validation of data during patches/fixes upgrade, implementation and Disaster Recovery drills â?¢ Oversight of SPS and PACS processes â?¢ Responsible for data integrity and conversion, data mapping activities and external reporting efforts â?¢ Responsible for User Interface Customization â?¢ Develop tutorial and train Human Resources, Payroll and other department staff on technical processes and functions e.g. as PeopleSoft and Workday â?¢ Troubleshoot technical problems â?¢ Creation of complex queries and reports â?¢ Develop and implement systems and procedures to provide management data as required on a consistent basis â?¢ Maintain documentation â?¢ Ongoing review of HR/Payroll/Budget business processes â?¢ Strong cooperation and collaboration with the Division of Information Technology, other departments, USM, and external agencies |
