Job Description:
· We are seeking a skilled Guidewire Developer with experience in the banking or financial domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and customizing Guidewire software, focusing on delivering optimal solutions to meet the client’s insurance and financial business requirements.
· As a Guidewire Developer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, product owners, and other developers, to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement custom solutions using Guidewire InsuranceSuite modules (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter).
· Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and design appropriate solutions that leverage Guidewire capabilities.
· Customize Guidewire applications to meet business needs, including configuration, integration, and user interface development.
· Participate in the entire SDLC, from requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and support.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Guidewire applications, ensuring smooth operation and minimal downtime.
· Work with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on project goals and deliverables.
· Optimize existing processes and workflows within Guidewire to improve operational efficiency.
· Conduct performance tuning and system optimization activities.
· Provide technical guidance and support to junior developers and project team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
· 5-7+ years of experience in Guidewire development (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter).
· Strong Java/J2EE programming skills.
· Proficient in Guidewire Gosu scripting language.
· Experience with Guidewire Configuration and Integration including GOSU, GUnit, GX Model, PCF (Page Configuration Format), and SOAP/REST APIs.
· Familiarity with SQL, XML, and web services.
· Solid understanding of banking and financial domain business processes and requirements.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and CI/CD tools.
· Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
· Background in banking and insurance data security practices.
· Guidewire certification is highly desirable.
Nice to Have:
· Experience with data migration processes and tools.
· Prior experience with banking software integrations and third-party API integrations.
· Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for Guidewire applications.
