Embedded Software Engineer Location:

• Deer Park,IL Senior Embedded Software Engineer for in-car radio infotainment system that incorporates interfaces and functions extended by attached media devices supporting cellular connectivity.
• Development includes all levels of software from applications to protocol stacks to device drivers. Core Responsibilities: Design, implement, and test embedded software based on Continental standards and processes Work closely with other domains (i.e. Hardware, Systems) to ensure robust, efficient, production intent solutions Coach and mentor junior software engineers Additional Responsibilities may include: Customer feature management and interface Quote development, requirements analysis, design/architecture, code, and test Work products complying with industry software engineering process requirements such as SEIs CMM, SPICE, etc Support field issue resolution.
• Lead software integration activities or software architecture Software verification activities: module testing and integration testing Diagnose and debug on emulator and debugger, including use of test equipment (spectrum analyzer, oscilloscope) Core Capabilities: Perform multiple tasks and work independently on new or complex assignments.
• Able to systematically solve problems and perform root cause analysis. Identify problems and risks as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve and mitigate them Able to operate with limited direction.
• Job Requirements Required Qualifications: BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (advanced engineering degree preferred) 2+ years plus experience in embedded software development Preferred

• 3+ years experience in the automotive industry
