Business Analyst

Location: Miami, FL

The Business Analyst will head up our newly forming Optimization Team, to become the Director of the department. This person would report directly to the CEO and would interact with our Data Scientists, end users, development teams and management on a daily basis.

 The responsibilities would include projects and analysis across the entire business which includes, sales and marketing, collections, legal, underwriting, data science, accounting and more. The goal would be to find areas of improvement and also oversee the implementation needed to optimize the process. The key is not to just do analysis and pass it off, but to effect and oversee direct change.

Essential Functions:

  • Be a key contributor to critical strategic analytical projects from the design phase through architecture, development, testing, documentation, production deployment, and support.
  • Lead training and documentation of core Research & Analytics functions, Mentor and work collaboratively with other team members on data integrity and data acquisition.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret and summarize data in preparation for data modeling and analytical report writing.
  • Optimize workflow to ensure best customer experience and effective processes

Requirements:

  • Master\\\'s/or Bachelor degree in statistics, mathematics, or engineering with a minimum of 3 years performing data analysis, data mining, and working with large amounts of data or financial modeling
  • Expert level Microsoft Excel

Including but not limited to:

    • SUMIFS
    • SUMPRODUCT
    • VLOOKUP
    • INDEX + MATCH
    • Handling Formula Errors
    • Array Formulas
    • Circular References
    • Formula Auditing
  • Advanced analytical, mathematical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to gather, analyze data, and generate complex reports.
  • Experience gathering requirements, designing tools, and documenting specifications.
  • Proven experience using full suite of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to visualize and compile large sets of data into a clear and presentable format.
  • Work effectively with teams utilizing a customer centered approach.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
  • Manage changing priorities within a fast-paced dynamic environment.

�·         Bonus:

  • Familiar with models in the R and C++
  • Proficiency with SQL and the ability to pull data and run queries.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of the business.
