Job Description:

UNIX/Linux server production maintenance and troubleshooting.

Monitor system usage and performance; provide support to resolve Help Desk issues related to UNIX/Linux systems.
Ensure data recoverability through system backups and disaster recovery processes.
Day to day operations including daily backup monitoring, backup tape rotation, performance tuning, security patching and hardware lease return etc.
Create and maintain Disaster Recovery procedures for UNIX/Linux systems.
Maintain web stores and other web servers for business units. Manage F5 Load Balancer for Oracle ERP application and Microsoft Exchange Servers.
Provide input to the global infrastructure strategy.
Carry a company issued cell phone to provide on-call support.Required Skills Hands on working knowledge with the hardware and software platforms in use at company.
This includes but is not limited to Oracle Solaris, Oracle Linux and Redhat Linux. Good working knowledge of Symantec/Veritas Storage Foundation and Netbackup are preferable Good working knowledge of EMC VMAX,VNX and Brocade Fiber Switches are preferable
Experience in EMC Avamar, Data Domain and Recover point are preferable
Experience in F5 Load Balancer is preferable Proven ability to identify, research and resolve systems problems in a timely manner Must be able to effectively manage multiple initiatives and deadlines, and deliver high quality results using best-practice methods.
Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills and experience communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
