Responsibility for all New Product Introduction (NPI) quotes. Responsible for the initiation and full review and comparison of all quotes from design to production release guaranteeing consistency and accuracy.
Responsibility for BOM DNA identifying all the lifecycle risks for all quotes.Localization at pilot stage assuring material is being quoted concurrently to assure immediate (or as best as possible) lowest cost at production.
Responsible for identifying risk buys with the mass production site to assure a seamless cut over from the CM NPI site.Working with NPI program management on timeline.
Review NRE charges assuring the correct number of solder pallets, fixtures etc are being requested.Review and confirm test costs, assembly costs, SMT costs, mark up model are in line with contract based on cost models and similar product comparisons.Management of BPOs, releases, OTD and overall delivery to plan.
Responsibility to identify and manage material that the NPI site requires to build product.Work with CM NPI site to buy raw material (turnkey) to support builds.Identify ECO/AML changes and communicate accordingly.Identify and maintain CTB list and work with CM, commodity management and manufacturers/distribution.
Manage US NPI sites including relationships, QBRs, exec level meetings, inventory liability, inventory deposit (if applicable) and similar activities.Leads in establishing and negotiating prices and contracts.
Performs cost-price value analysis and implements cost reduction programs with suppliersTake lead in process improvements and drive cost savings through operational efficienciesResponsible for managing relationship with EMS provider and strategic suppliers with the aim of meeting customer needs and business objectivesDevelops strategies for risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management and operations improvementManage assurance of supplyBuild strong relationships throughout the companyProvide the leadership necessary to achieve responsiveness and delivery performance, effective supply chain processes and alignment with the strategic objectives of the businessPrepare and issue requests for quote to suppliersEnsure supplier delivery to meet new product launch schedulesIssue, document, administer and expedite purchase ordersEstablish and manage key supplier performance goals and objectives including cost, quality, and deliveryDevelop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and developing technologiesCommunicate and interface directly with many levels and functions within the organization as they relate to the NPI processCollaborate with other key stakeholders to ensure smooth transition from prototype to productionCompliance with all procurement and planning-related SOX policies and procedures.
