Job Description:
As a Mid-Level SAP Basis Administrator, you will provide SAP Basis administration support for SAP ERP, NetWeaver, and other SAP component systems.
Initial modules include HCM, SD, MM, FICO, PP, CRM, GTS, BW, BI, BPC and BOBJ. You will provide assistance to the day to day operations, implementation of technology roadmaps, standards, and lifecycle management for SAP related applications. Install and maintain software including upgrades and database administration; apply kernel patches, OSS Notes, and Support Packages.
Assist with performance testing and tuning, transport system management, system builds, cutover/Go-Live related Basis tasks and will work with SAP front-end global deployment/testing, disaster recovery configuration, version upgrades, and add-on installations.
Support for system troubleshooting, problem solving, application capacity planning, tuning, and application server load balancing and optimization of database resources.
Performs day to day monitoring and administration of SAP systems.Evaluation and design of interfaces between SAP and external systems.
Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.Advocate and enforce applicable standards, policies, procedures, and best practices in the implementation and/or maintenance of NetWeaver and its various components.Provide insight on new SAP technology and how it can be leveraged appropriately to improve the current environment.Provide back-up support to the SAP Security Administrator.
The Successful Candidate\'s Minimum Qualifications Will Include The FollowingBachelors Degree in a computer related field (such as Computer Programming or MIS) required.
At least 4 years of experience as a Basis Administrator having advanced skills in administration of ECC 6.0, ECC, BW, BOBJ, EP, BO Data Services, SQL, NetWeaver stack,and Solution Manager.
Strong focus and expertise required in Business Objects and HANA.Experience in the SAP Security and an understanding of SAP Basis Security.Experience with configuration, analysis, performance tuning, and troubleshooting, of both ABAP and Java Stacks on Windows and HANA databases.
This includes database security, diagnostic maintenance, capacity planning, user security and permissions.Expertise in database automation through OS level scripting and database level scripts or procedures.
Measurement of DBMS performance and tuning, diagnosis of problems. Modification of system-level configuration to optimize performance.
Interface with developers and modelers for performance and data access requirements.
Development of standards and procedures for the HANA database environment using various HANA admin tools like HLM and Studio.Excellent SQL Server DBA skills with at least 3 years of experience.
Experience with SAP Systems delivery and Systems administration track record across the major SAP suite of applications.Experience managing and supporting multiple landscapes with experience in provisioning SAP applications, performing SAP System upgrades, EHP upgrades, support packs, Unicode conversions, system and client copies, system refreshes, backups and restores, security configurations and connectivity.
Knowledge of SAP transports using CTS+, integration with LDAP and knowledge of SSO necessary.Be well versed in all the SAP tools needed to administer the various landscapes.
Experience with Solution Manager.Good understanding of ITIL concepts such as Change Management, Incident Management, and Problem Management.
