Job Description:

  • The Senior IT Manager will work with a global Drivetrain IT management team to provide consistent and quality driven information technology solutions that meet stated business objectives.
  • This role will be responsible for planning, delivery and/or oversight of all IT activities within their region and area of responsibility, leveraging direct and indirect IT resources within the matrixed IT organization.
  • This person will be directly responsible for a broad range of business system initiatives, delivering quality solutions to support Drive train business units.
  • This person will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive business relationships throughout the business community, consistently adding value back to the business by leveraging their knowledge and experience to provide new ideas and recommendations in the use of information technology that bring added value to the Drive train business units.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or other related technical degree; MBA preferred 10+ years of IT related management experience
  • Proven ability to successfully deliver technical solutions for business problems
  • Strong prioritization skills, knowledge of quality standards
  • Qualified candidates should possess a strong understanding of project management techniques and possess excellent verbal and oral communication skills, PMP certification a plus. Knowledge of analysis, design, and configuration of systems is required Strong knowledge of and experience with ERP systems desired; preferably SAP and/or QAD As a senior IT manager, he/she must have experience is building effective teams and positive professional relationships with clients and associates Business process understanding required; business process reengineering experience preferred Solid organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies
  • Ability to work harmoniously and effectively as a leader OR a member of a team
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects, work under tight deadlines, and handle changing priorities
  • Ability to work directly with middle to senior management as well as employees throughout the organization
  • Strong customer management skills and ability to understand translate and define complex business requirements
