Job Description:

Role:Lead User Experience Designer
Location:San Mateo, CA
Responsibilities
  • Create design prototypes, including graphic design samples and mockups for game features, menus, displays in the gameCollaborate with a wide variety of stakeholders: game design, production, UI engineering, taking feedback and input from all to produce the best designs
  • Estimate work effort as neededCreate final assets at high quality
  • Collaborate with the UI engineering team to ensure smooth implementation of all new UIsRequirementsAbove all, superior creative 2D art and design skills and experience in UI design.
  • This will bedemonstrated with a strong portfolio of previous work.
  • Experience with game UI is criticalExpert skill with Photoshop, Illustrator and UI prototyping tools of choice
  • Strong Flash animation skillsA keen eye for composition, clarity and usability
  • Experience making wireframes and user flowsExperience with typography and fonts
  • Experience with a variety of artistic styles. Ability to create new looks or design pieces that fit into an existing stylePassion for games and a willingness to experience Marvel Heroes (and other games) as a player so as to make the best design choices
  • Willingness to iterate on designsNice To HavesWeb design experience, HTML and Javascript skillsPrevious games experience, professional or hobbyistFamiliarity with the Marvel IP
  • Experience with game engines: Unreal, ScaleForm, or othersCollege degree in Art, Animation, Design, or related field preferredPortfolio submissions should include:Examples of interfaces designed, ideally those that have been implemented.
  • Animations where possible.
