Responsibilities include database design and development using SQL Server technologies, writing T-SQL Code including Stored procedures, functions and triggers, developing SSIS packages.
Database Maintenance, Backups, and Performance Monitoring and Development activities.
Other activities include developing database structure; developing database utilization policies, procedures, security, in co-ordination with DBA.
Perform platform upgrades and migrations; monitoring performance; and coordinating actions.
Maintains data integrity using standards and monitoring techniques.
Maintains database performance by developing tuning methodologies.
Provides regular reports to Supervisors by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing database performance and trends.
Maintain & help build Policies and Procedures

Qualifications:

Required BA/BS degree in computer systems design, computer science, or system engineering.
Minimum of 5-8 years direct work experience with the SQL Server.
Experience with designing Relational Databases.
Strong experience in writing complex T-SQL code including Stored Procedures and functions
Strong experience in SSIS Development in SQL Server 2012/2014 technologies.
Strong experience in tuning and optimizing T-SQL code including Stored procedures, functions and SSIS Packages.
Knowledge of Database encryption at column level.Knowledge of Tokenization Able to review the code written by other developers and suggest/optimize for the best performance, guide the development team to follow best practices.
Possess knowledge in all aspects of the Database Administration.
Experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a high availability.
Experience in managing the internal and external MS SQL database security.
Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Familiarity with third party tools like SQL Sentry, Cozy Roc Familiarity with Business Intelligence Products e.g. Cognos Innovative problem-solving skills with an aptitude to think out-of-the-box when investigating solutions
