Role: Director, ERP Development Location:Tustin, CA General Summary
The Director, ERP Development will oversee and execute the technology direction in all aspects of Oracle ERP system for Youngs Holdings.
This position will have a strong relationship and interface to Application Development and Infrastructure to design solutions and provide scalable and reliable information systems to the organization.
The position will lead or direct technical resources, which will contributes to the accountability of design, build, QA / Test, deploy and maintenance of the Oracle ERP system.
In addition, this individual will be responsible for working with the Applications Development team for integration with other software applications and platforms used by Youngs.
The technical director will maintain technology solutions and services in support of the corporate objectives on a robust and cost effective software platform.
Planning and execution of the Application solutions will includes the reuse of shared platforms.
Essential FunctionsDefine application solution lifecycle management including release management, upgrade strategy, testing strategy and retirement plan.
Define and own software development lifecycle.Manage the technical development team.
Plan and develop the Oracle ERP component of the enterprise technology roadmaps, best practices and methodologies.Responsible for compiling the Oracle components of the Cornerstone program.
Coordinates with IT Leadership to establish staffing and project plans for specific system implementation projects.
Directly manages the Oracle ERP Development team resourcesResponsible for evaluating and selecting new hires supporting ERP and QA ERP development team members.
Manages and administers vendor maintenance agreements for Oracle ERP components.
Obtains regular briefings on vendor directions and development plans.
Uses this information to update Technology Roadmaps and IT Strategic Plans.
Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and operations of the Oracle componentsEstablishes and communicates Service Level Agreements (SLA) for Oracle systems for inclusion in the overall business systems Service Level Management plans for operational entities.
Implements effective monitoring processes and systems are in place to capture performance against SLAs.
Mediates and resolve SLA compliance issues.
TravelEstimated 10% occasional overnight travel may be required.
Required Education And Experience
A Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent required, MBA, MS preferedMust have
10+ years experience of managing enterprise architect.
Must have 10+ years hands on experience on Oracle DB, Oracle EBS, Oracle Hyperion, Manhattan WMS installation, upgrade, backup, recovery and maintenance experience.
Must have 10+ years hands on experience on SQL Server and Data Warehouse management, upgrade, support and maintenance.
Must have in depth understanding of multiple DBMS including Oracle, DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Essbase, columnar and document databases.
Must have 10+ year hands on experience of managing UNIX, Red Hat Linux, Oracle Weblogic, Windows and middle tier technology.
Must have extensive knowledge of Data Warehouse and BI.Its a plus to have IBM AS400 operation knowledge and experience.
Must have 5+ years experience on multiple platforms including Web Servers, NT, Windows and Application Servers.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with priority and strict deadlines.
