Job Description:

  • Developing, enhancing, and managing the EDI business with our Trading Partners, i.e., customers, suppliers, third party logistics providers, vendors, etc.
  • Performing system testing to ensure data integrity and proper functionality.
  • Initiating resolution processes as required.Identifying and resolving errors using in-depth EDI, business, and technical knowledge to swiftly and accurately perform analyses and implement solutions.
  • Participating in projects by gaining a clear understanding of the purpose and scope and executing tasks for the EDI team.
  • Promoting a customer-centered culture that strives to exceed internal and external customer needs, requirements, and expectations.
  • Ensures that all transmission issues are resolved according to the departmental prioritization guidelines in a timely manner.
  • Outside normal business hours, monitors transactions, communicates with other department personnel to collect missing data, responds to communications with representatives of vendors and customers to provide timely accurate documents in support of both the Company and related businesses.
  • Develops accurate schedules for project development and implementation.
  • Shares responsibility with user for developing and achieving project objectives and schedules.
  • Creates, manages and maintains AS/2 encryption certificates.
  • Plans, organizes, and reports time and information to meet departmental targets and schedules.
  • Ensures that all work products adhere to standards in both new and existing software, including purchased packages and in house development.
  • Issues internal reports to management and sales team on the status of customer EDI report cards as well as updates and changes to the system Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:Experience of 3+ years in an EDI environment is required.
  • Bachelors Degree in Logistics, Business or Information Technology and related experience.
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP experience (preferred)Maintenance, configuration and setup experience of AS2 software is required.
  • Ability to organize and communicate effectively with others.
  • Team player mentality.Basic understanding of programming and design, and ability to perform end to end testing of documents.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to plan and organize, demonstrate strong problem solving, negotiating, and decision making skills and the ability to manage complexity and sometimes conflicting priorities.
