Job Description:
Allen-Bradley PLC/PAC Programmer/Integrator to fill a permanent position with a growing, established company in the Kansas City area.
As a member of the Controls Engineering team, this hands-on role will work on development, testing, programming, integration and implementation of control and/or monitoring solutions for critical building systems such as chiller plants, air handling units, electrical management/monitoring, generators, boilers, pumps and motors.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement and test control solutions through the use of Allen-Bradley PLC/PAC programming/hardware and Rockwell Software.
PLC/PAC programming includes creating new programs and modifying existing code.
Develop, implement and test HMI applications using Factory Talk View SE/ME.
Develop, implement and test Historian applications using Factory Talk Historian SE/ME.
Maintain electrical controls documentation including schematics, PLC/PAC programs and technical specifications.
Maintain system validation documentation on new systems from Design Intent through Site Acceptance Testing.
Maintain change control documentation on existing systems.
Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems, or questions about the system including controls, hardware and programs.
Work with others (customers, supervisors, programmers, field personnel) to gather information relating to changes to functions and features of control system.
Assist in O&M development for training of associates, equipment operators, and supervisors on system operation; Trains end users or technical support staff to use programs and procedures.
Qualifications
Proficient experience with design and procurement of Control Logix and Compact Logix platforms.
Experience with Rockwell Software:RS Log ix 5000 Development of programs using periodic tasks, PlantPAx objects, AOIs and UDTs, produced/consumed tags, Ladder Logic, Function Block and Structured Text.
