Administer and manage complex enterprise solutions within the SharePoint platform Works as a senior member of a collaborative team responsible for business analysis, planning, designing, testing, debugging, configuring, supporting, and documenting SharePoint related packaged solutions and / or custom developed software Recommends, implements, and maintains disaster recovery processes for Share Point Manages and monitors the overall health of the SharePoint environments including setting alerts and processes to maintain the stability of the environment and customer applications. This includes automating administration tasks wherever possible.
Monitors SharePoint disk space usage Regular monitoring and review of the events and messages reported in Event Viewer and Performance Monitor Regular review, clean-up, management and configuration of SharePoint accounts and sites Work closely with an Active Directory administrator Regularly analyzing SharePoint content and storage Monitors SharePoint trends (e.g.; site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth)
Regular checks for and installs SharePoint upgrades, patches and cumulative updates Evaluates alternatives for deploying, patching, and supporting SharePoint related solutions in a managed environment and actively suggests changes that will enhance user experience Interfaces with vendors and acts as primary point of contact for the SharePoint platform Manages vendor deliverable's Installs and configures purchased software packages Performs required integration tasks as required Leads system-level SharePoint issue resolution and performs troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose SharePoint problems in collaboration with other IT team members Leads application software implementations and upgrades Ensures high availability, security, and integrity of assigned applications Refers/escalates issues to IT leadership and staff Configures SharePoint services and settings
Qualifications What can you bring to Meridian:
Bachelors degree in computer related area or equivalent work experience is required A minimum of six (6) years overall information technology experience is required 3-4 years of SharePoint administration experience is required Experience using third-party SharePoint administration software such as Metalogix Control Point is required Experience configuring SharePoint Search
Including defining content sources and crawl schedules, creating managed properties, crawl rules, and scopes Experience with SharePoint templates (site templates, list templates, master page customization) is required Experience using external content types and SharePoint integration with other enterprise applications using REST services Experience troubleshooting and working in a prior operations role Share Point Solution Developer with experience in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications preferred Programming experience using C# preferred Advanced concepts, principles, and practices of systems administration Advanced concepts of supporting Microsoft operating systems
