Job Description:

Responsibilitites

  • Leadership (40%)Set the overall direction of the HRIS system.
  • Directs the HR information strategy and determines scope of HRIS system by consulting with human resources, executives, controller and other management to ascertain organizational needs for payroll, benefits, and human resources related information.
  • Full responsibility for preparing and proposing annual HRIS budget, and managing the budget throughout the year.
  • Oversight and assistance to the Director, OD/HRIS in managing the full HR budget.
  • Manage and develop HRIS team members, and assure cooperative, collaborative, and superior service provider work relationships
  • Provide leadership and direction on all HRIS projects.
  • Data Management/Integration (35%)Direct HR information management strategic and tactical planning, business process re-engineering, and database system strategy.
  • Develops information systems involving integration of multiple platforms, vendor products and technologies
  • Perform needs analysis in an effort to enhance HRIS system capabilities, and achieve seamless data integration processes with Payroll, Finance, and IS systems.
  • Partner with IS department and HRIS system vendor to increase overall capacity of the system for seamless automation.
  • Recommend software and hardware enhancements as required, and evaluate hosting options to maximize system capability and flexibility.
  • Build and develop an HRIS business strategy to increase the user friendliness of the system, and prepare to launch manager and employee self-service platforms.
  • Create and deliver user training programs to ensure success.
  • Hold other locations (Plants, Chicago, R&D, Sales, etc.) accountable for Data IntegrityCreates, maintains, and ensures quality assurance of key human resources data sets, reports, and metrics.
  • Ensures data structure maintains flexibility for the needs of the future organization.
  • HR Analytics and Business Insights (25%) Provides management support to the Human Resource function in the areas of people metrics, reporting, and advanced and predictive analytics.
  • Create and maintain HR metrics dashboard. Work with HR peers and Business partners to outline HR metrics, and develop reporting capabilities, and dashboard posting.
  • Identify reporting needs of HR and business groups, and propose monthly reporting structure to ensure proactive, rather than reactive HRIS support.
  • Form solid business partnerships with Finance and IS leadership, to assure ongoing system enhancement, process improvements and efficiencies, and work products that reduce administrative costs, and enhance productivity.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the business and propose research to analyze organizational data and provide insights; Identify and lead special projects which support HR and business objectives.
Required Qualifications

  • 7-9 years HRIS systems experience (SAP-Success Factors - a plus)
  • 3-5 years leading HRIS teamAbility to influence and drive alignment at all levels.
  • Ability to design strategy, provide structure, and lead people in the implementation of programs and processes that will ultimately increase productivity and reduce related costs.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, intellectual curiosity, creativity, a proven work ethic, and good communication skills.
  • A minimum of a Masters degree in Business, Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline coupled with 7+
  • years applicable analysis and/or reporting experience; OR a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Business,
  • Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline coupled with 9+ years applicable analysis and/or reporting experience.
  • Microsoft Access, PowerPoint, and Excel experience.
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and developing talent.
