Job Summary

  • This position will support the HRIS function in areas of information systems analysis, data management, data integrity and issue resolution.
  • This role will work closely with the HRIS team, HR, Compensation, Benefits and Finance users to analyze their needs and translate them into system specifications in order to develop and maintain the HR systems.
  • This role is also accountable for project assistance and management in the HRIS space.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establishes and implements project management processes and methodologies to ensure HRIS projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to quality standards, and meet client expectations.
  • Acts as global champion for change management processes.
  • Ensures proper training and documentation prior to turning the system over to the COE group.
  • Responsible for creating project plans, global blueprints, identifying resource needs, directing and monitoring work efforts on a daily basis, performing quality reviews, and escalation of any functional, quality, timeline issues appropriately. Responsible for project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet customer needs.
  • Coordinates communication with all global stakeholders on issues that may impact the project(s) being managed.
  • Coordinates and manages HRIS resources to achieve project outcomes and objectives.
  • Coordinates and prioritizes HRIS projects with HR management and appropriate departments.
  • Creates and submits for approval business cases, RFPs, budgets, and schedules for assigned HRIS projects.
  • Documents policies, FDA validation, SOX controls, user manuals, and other training materials in the appropriate documentation system.
  • Maintains strong leadership and communication with outside project partners.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert / Power User to the organization in the SAP HRIS Group.
  • Regularly creates and distributes project status documents to team and upper management.
  • Has primary responsibility and duties for the HRIS reporting database.

Expected Areas of Competence

  • Proficiency in SAP-HRIS.
  • Possess knowledge of core HR principles and processes.
  • Strong technical aptitude and project management skills.
  • Process documentation, mapping and re-design for both system and business processes.
  • Ability to lead functional HR teams to define project requirements and articulate business processes.
  • Provide training to the HR community.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate issues and resolutions and provide the appropriate level of support.
  • Proven track record of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking, strict deadlines, problem solving, and high pressure situations.
  • Technical experience must include application design, creation and manipulation of data from an HR System, MS Excel (pivot tables), MS Access (including forms creation and VBA coding), MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and other business software to prepare reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.
  • Must have the vision and background to lead the HRIS Services and Reporting function forward to meet the needs of our growing company.

Education/Experience Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in Business, Human Resources and/or MIS plus a minimum of 7 7-10 years Human Resources/HRIS related experience, with broad exposure to HR and business processes, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Prior knowledge of and practical application of HRIS systems required.
  • PHR certification a plus and/or PMI certification highly recommended.
