Job Description:

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Perform, document and assist in planning work activities relating to projects, sub-projects, or processes.
  • For Projects: analyze requirements, design, build, and test IT software solutions in accordance with IT project management standards.
  • For operations/application maintenance: enhance, maintain or support existing IT products and processes to the defined service level agreement
  • Assist in creation of documentation for products and services. Use best practices to improve products and services provided to business unit partners
  • Maintain and enhance engagement with business and IT partners and other stakeholders
  • Proactively build business/IT knowledge to provide solutions
  • Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

Bachelora??s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 3 to 5 years relevant experience in Application Development & Support or equivalent combination of education and work experience

Appropriate technical skills

  • Strong data modeling and design background
  • Proven expertise in Oracle, SQL Server
  • Experience writing SQL queries, Stored Procedures
  • Experience with web services SOAP, REST, JSON, XML
  • Knowledge of messaging systems JMS, MQ
  • XML definition experience, e.g. XSDs, XSLTs, Xpath etc.
  • Programming knowledge on Web application and Scripting language development and configuration including Javascript and Java
  • TFS version control/configuration management tools
  • Experience with large enterprise-wide systems design, development, and support
  • Strong system architecture skills, with the ability to view the overall picture of an application as well as integrations
  • Familiarity with change management, release management, patch and vulnerability management, and incident response processes and protocols
  • Ability to work with remote project teams
  • Strong problem solving and analysis ability
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)

Preferred:

  • Relevant IT experience (SDLC- Waterfall / Agile)
  • Knowledge of Deployment scripts.
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency for high severity incidents. Able to assess the customer impact and provide tactical solutions. Experience in troubleshooting issues in Production environment.
  • Able to contribute to automation, causal analysis and develop shared/common solutions
  • Experience leading small IT projects or sub-teams and knowledge of IT project management
