Role:- Assoc Dir Data Engineer Location: Princeton, NJ Responsibilities:
A Senior Data Integration Engineer that brings a deep operational understanding of healthcare IT standards such as HL7 HQMF, HL7 CDA-based standards and FHIR that enables you to explore, manage and ingest de-identified patient data from across our data provider ecosystem.
Working with our product and data science teams, you will be responsible for developing key information components of our overall platform that enables both our clients to develop new insights from their data as well as internal stakeholders.
You all use the best tools for the job, whether modern and revolutionary or time tested and proven, to deliver elegant, scalable solutions that meet business and technical needs.
Peer review of solutions and implementations is expected.
You will play an integral part in expanding and enhancing upon the foundation and everything to come.

Additional Responsibilities Include:
Solve complex data work flow problems related to the interactions of numerous data providers with a varied set of requirements and needs.
Develop software to facilitate rapid ETL / ELT of large and varied data sets Solve problems related to the real-time discovery of large data
Design new and extend existing dimensional based models appropriate for product and customer business use cases.
Design and develop ETL / ELT code to populate the dimensional model.
Work with BI developers to ensure that the data warehouse is providing the required data and the required performance.
Work with a team of developers to execute strategies, implement solutions and produce peer reviewed quality software
Demonstrate strong implementation aptitude to translate objectives into a scalable solution to meet the needs of the end customer while meeting deadlines.
Demonstrate commitment to your professional development by attending conferences, taking classes, giving technical presentations, and participating in developer communities inside and outside of the company.
Maintains patient level data to which the position may have access, directly or indirectly, in a confidential and secure manner consistent with the company.
Policies and federal and state laws (i.e., HIPAA, SAMSA, state data destruction laws).
Undergoes training on HIPAA and other privacy regulations on at least an annual basis or upon any significant change in the law, as determined by the Privacy Officer or the Information Security Officer. Incorporates learning from training into daily job functions.
Demonstrates the highest level of integrity in working with sensitive data or protected health information.
Upon becoming aware of a data incident or a suspected data breach, the person filling this position is expected to immediately report such incident to the Privacy Officer or Information Security Officer.
Maintains accurate and complete documentation regarding the creation, use, storage, or transmission of protected health information, as required by applicable laws.
Qualifications:
Required:
Mastery of Dimensional Modeling.
Mastery of Advanced SQL.
Advanced knowledge of ETL and ELT tools and design patterns Advanced knowledge of big data tools such as Hadoop/Spark/Pig
Experience in relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, DB2 and MongoDBâ?¢Working knowledge of Python
Experience designing efficient, robust, and scalable ETL workflows
Experience defining, developing, and documenting APIs
Experience using infrastructure-as-a-service providers such as AWS
Experience with unit tests and documentation
Experience with source control systems such as Git
Ability to analyze existing solutions and provide optimizationsâ?¢Tendency to seek simple, elegant solutions to complex problems
Working knowledge of Healthcare IT standards such as HL7 HQMF, HL7 CDA-based standards, and FHIR Demonstrated knowledge of health insurance information systems, clinical information systems, clinical decision support systems, and medical terminology required
Good to have:
Experience working with business leadership to design data solutions that meet business needs.
Experience working with large, complex source systems, and working with developers of those systems to dig in and understand the complexities of the data.
BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or another technical field
Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design
