Job Description:

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support for analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise reporting applications and reporting libraries/universes.
  • Gather, analyze and refine report requirements, development of technical specifications
  • Develop and maintain complex reports and report libraries.
  • Sort through large volumes of data, identify the relevant data, and turn that raw information into complete and correct reports containing all appropriate data fields
  • Create complex SQL stored procedures, views and functions using industry standards for formatting code and use of algorithms.
  • Produce timely, efficient, and high quality deliverables
  • Ensure requests are completed within defined SLAs
  • Follow SDLC, waterfall or agile, as appropriate by project.
  • Present new reports in a clear and concise manner to report consumers
  • Develop Epic reports based out of Reporting Workbench
  • Learn and assist with Clarity DB by providing support for ETL related issues, errors and both scheduled / emergency related maintenance requests.
  • Learn and assist with administrative responsibilities for BI servers
  • Participate in system wide initiatives to improve efficiency and reach company goals and objectives
  • Provides general production and operational support, as required
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • 2+ to 5 yearsâ?? experience developing with MS SQL
  • Microsoft MCSA SQL Certification preferred
  • 2 to 5 yearsâ?? experience with BI software, including Crystal Reports, Tableau, SSRS, and PowerBI
  • A Bachelorâ??s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Familiar with ITIL standards, SLA measures and SDLC (waterfall or agile)
  • Experience developing SQL stored procedures, views, and functions. Ability to create data structures and modify data.
  • Understand Relational Databases including interpreting ER Diagrams. Familiar with join types, data types, data aggregation, and use of common table expressions (CTE??s).
  • Understanding of data mining, and data warehousing, preferred

Strong analytical skills

  • Ability to ask probing questions to determine the desired outcomes for report requests
  • Epic Clarity Tapestry Data Model - Certification preferred
  • Epic Clarity Administration - Certification preferred
  • Epic Reporting Workbench â?? Certification preferred
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
  • Dedicated self-starter with strong customer service skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of how security influences data access and report distribution.
  • Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to rapidly adapt to changing business requirements, and to efficiently acquire and utilize new skills in response to such change
  • Must be able to work in an environment where critical time constraints exist
