Job Description:
Essential Tasks:
Act as primary contact between client, prospect, agency, and producer; represent the firm in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes, or resolving grievances.
Handle or refer all service requests by our clients.
Initiate and handle marketing of account beginning 120 days prior to renewal date. Gather the necessary information regarding new/existing accounts and submit this information to the appropriate carriers to obtain proposals; investigate carrier products; analyze and review clients data to recommend appropriate plans and proposals to offer the client.
Review the proposals received for accuracy; work hand-in-hand with agent to generate proposal presentation through spreadsheets and proposal exhibits.
Calculate premium and payroll deductions; audit billing statements for accuracy on behalf of clients.
Generate open enrollment material (i.e. enrollment guides, election forms, personalized confirmation sheets, enrollment/change forms, PowerPoint presentations).
Conduct open enrollment presentations in front of an audience.
Process necessary paperwork for submission to carrier.
Direct a smooth transition from one carrier to another.
Update accounts to maintain files on the agency management system when client changes carriers or a renewal is completed.
Set priorities and manage work flow to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities.
Maintain knowledge of new developments or changes with the carriers and new federal/state laws that may affect how our clients must administer their benefit programs; communicate this information to clients and team members.
Develop and maintain a positive relationship and rapport with each insurance carrier to satisfy our clients needs and facilitate the processing of business.+
Experience and Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Life and Health Agents license.
Minimum one year experience in employee benefit account management preferred.
