Job Description:

As a LABORATORY ANALYST, your main responsibilities are to:

  • Using Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) and Mass Spectrometry (MS), perform routine sample analysis and data reduction.
  • Under the guidance of a Scientific Specialist/Supervisor, conduct contract feasibility, method development and method validation as required.
  • Ensure equipment, instruments and associated consumable supplies are properly maintained.
  • Review LIMS summary and new TAT reports to prioritize daily workload.
  • Meet quality and TAT specifications required by the client ensuring samples are analysed within holding time requirements.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Identify any non-routine samples or atypical results and seek guidance on procedures for handling or reporting in a timely manner.
  • Suggest and help to implement production efficiencies.

Other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

  • You are an ideal LABORATORY ANALYST (Compressed Breathing Gas)
  • University degree or College diploma in Sciences, preferably chemistry or environmental related and/or equivalent experience.
  • Two tothree years experience working in analytical laboratory environment.
  • Must have knowledge and working experience with liquid chromatography.
  • Understands analysis procedures and problem solves issues.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good record keeping skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to accurately follow Standard operating Procedures (SOPs) and instructions.
  • Is energetic with positive outlook and can-do attitude.
  • Familiar with MaxxLIMS and MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Experience with Analyst and/or Mass Hunter software would be an asset.
