Job description

General Summary

• Responsible for performing system administration on Linux systems in support of MSIC (Missile and Space Intelligence Center).
  
• Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
  
• Responsible for performing analysis on system problems
  
• Responsible for working with system users to define problem areas, data availability, report requirements, etc.
  
• Responsible for defining system objectives and for preparing system design specifications to meet user requirements
  
• Responsible for analyzing various ways to derive input data in order to select the most appropriate process
  
• Responsible for implementing system design specifications *
  
• May define input and output file specifications including file organization *
  
• May be responsible for defining controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans
  
• May occasionally provide work leadership to lower level employees

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in a related field, or the equivalent experience
  
• Minimum of 8 years work related experience
  
• Experience with Linux OS; some experience in Windows
  
• Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs
  
• TS/SCI clearance required
