Role:Senior Business Intelligence (SSIS) Developer

Location: Miramar, FL

Responsibilities:

• Work with business and application analysts to gather requirements and perform data discovery
  
• Consult with subject matter experts and data owners to identify source systems, definitions and metrics
  
• Perform data profiling exercises to better understand data and work with application analysts to identify/resolve data quality issues
  
• Design, build, test, document and support centralized data models specialized for reporting and analysis using industry standards
  
• Design, develop and support all extraction and integration processes (ETL)
  
• Perform data analysis and propose and ensure transformation covers all data possibilities including managing data anomalies.
  
• Implement processes to ensure Data Quality in the ETL process
  
• Update data model diagrams and associated documentation following established guidelines and formats
  
• Assist with proactive monitoring, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned data models
  
• Maintains familiarity with assigned data models and associated subject areas
  
• Consult with business leaders to gather requirements for new reports and dashboards
  
• Design and develop reports and dashboards using established tools and methodologies
  
• Ensures sensitive data is displayed properly based on security privileges of end user
  
• Coordinate with impacted teams to avoid negative impacts to existing reports, analysis and dashboards
  
• Work with reporting liaisons to provide training, guidance and assistance in accessing data models for their operational reporting needs
  
• Design, develop and support scheduled processes to extract data from our EDW and transfer it to downstream applications
  
• Comply with, and help develop, standards, policies and procedures for the BI team and other reporting analysts in the organization
  
• Provide cross-training and mentoring to junior members of the BI team
  
• Build and maintain strong peer relationships within the team and across the organization
  
• Assist with research and recommendation/acquisition of cost effective data modeling and aggregation technologies and tools
  

Experience Education

• B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
  

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of data warehousing techniques, technologies, and trends, including dimensional data modeling and advanced analytics
• 7+ years writing T-SQL
• 5+ years of progressive experience with Microsoft's BI stack
• Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Pyramid Analytics
• Experience working with financial and clinical business processes, customers, applications and data
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Used to working with, understanding and interpreting large, complex sets of data across a range of business processes

• Working experience with hospital and professional claims data processing
  
• Knowledge and exposure to EHR implementations, EPIC is a plus
