Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs field investigations & surveys prior to design
  
• Prepare design for HVAC and piping systems
  
• Preparation of cost estimates and analyzing material costs, quality and quantity
  
• Develop an understanding of the N.Y. State Mechanical Code
  
• Preparation of preliminary and final designs from field notes and data files
  
• Prepare project drawings consistent with company standards and in compliance with municipal and agency requirements
  
• Supervises the development of design concepts and reports
  
• Supervises and manages project designs and approvals and clients relationships
  
• Presents and assists at public presentations on technical/design issues
  
• Provides mentoring assistance
  
• Coordinates activities with other group manages
  
• Provides guidance and technical contributions regarding project design and details
  
• Works with marketing and business development staff to assist in the procurement of work
  
• Performs mechanical calculations including Heat Loss / Heat Gain calculations
