Job Description:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed design proposals including cost analysis for projects containing mechanical & electro-mechanical components and systems.
  • Perform 3D modeling & create drawings using GD&T ANSI Y14.5.
  • Follow rigorous design control methodology to document, implement, verify and validate designs.
  • Manage prototype build, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical assemblies and systems.
  • Create design, specification, bill of material, and procedural documentation. Support Document Control group in DCO release to production.
  • Analyze robot design features with implementation of production process improvements. Design and build fixtures to aid in product manufacturing.
  • Assist in developing and updating manufacturing process instructions for new and existing designs.
  • Participate in disposition and root cause investigation of non-conforming materials.
  • Develop and update test procedures for electromechanical assemblies.
  • Analyze and record test results, and prepare written testing documentation.
  • Work with multiple tasks, under the timely requirement.
  • Other duties or special projects as required to meet companyâ??s objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in designing complex electro-mechanical devices and components is preferred.
  • Experience with IEC 60601-1 Ed. 3.1 compliant devices is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of medical device regulations such as QSR/FDA, ISO 13485:2003, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Expert at using Solidworks 2013+ for 3D modeling and 2D drawing.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles fundamentals and stress analysis.
  • Able to read and interpret complex drawings, blue prints, schematics and other documentation as necessary.
  • Proficient user of Windows based computer programs.
  • Ability to define instructions that are moderately complex in nature.
  • Self-driven and Independent. Capable of leading tasks from start to end.
  • Hands-on engineering with the proven ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated good analytical thinking and decision making skills.
  • Able to comprehend and effectively communicate in English, written & verbal.
