Primary duties and responsibilities:-

As a senior microservices developer you help to build our Cloud Platform, designing and developing web services and REST APIs that enable customer experiences across our devices (speakers, headsets, and home theatre), mobile applications, and cloud partners such as music services, voice personal assistants, and third-party integrators.
In this role you would be responsible for the development of cloud microservices.
You will build robust, highly scalable, high-performance distributed systems that connect cloud microservices with mobile, web, and standalone applications, and / or smart devices to offer consumers a wide range of functionality that will grow with time.

A Sr developer at will:-

Design and build highly scalable, resilient, performant cloud microservices and APIs that interface with devices, mobile applications, third-party services and applications, cloud infrastructure, and other microservices
Collaborate with front-end and mobile app teams to develop product features and services
Work with QA on developing testing processes, frameworks, and automation strategies
Work with platform architects on software and system optimizations, helping to identify and remove potential performance bottlenecks
Document the work you do, especially APIs that you create
Focus on innovating new and better ways to create solutions that add value and amaze the end user, with a penchant for simple elegant design in every aspect from data structures to code to systems architecture
Stay up to date on relevant technologies, plug into user groups, understand trends and opportunities to ensure we are using the best techniques and tools

Some things you will work on in this role:-

The profile of a typical Sr developer in our cloud organization:-

B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
5+ years working in software development for cloud, web, or mobile applications
1+ years experience developing microservices for distributed systems using Python, Node.js, or Java
Experience using and developing REST APIs, using tools such as RAML and Swagger / OpenAPI
Working knowledge of Python
Working knowledge of HTTP, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, Web Sockets
Development experience on Linux-based systems and mobile applications a plus
Excellent collaboration and presentation skills
