Summary/Objective
The Entry Level HR/Compensation Analyst position is responsible for providing a variety of reports on a regular basis to the HR Manager and Executive team to guide important decisions on a wide range of topics and policies (including headcount, compensation, productivity, turnover, and others). Additionally, this position will assist in an HR and payroll capacity as needed.
Essential Functions
Maintaining job descriptions for all positions in the company to remain FLSA compliant
Collecting data for benchmark pay by finding reputable sources within budget
Creating pay structures and job worth hierarchy through benchmarking data and slotting techniques
Drafting executive pay proposals as needed using industry data
Improving upon performance review process to focus on KPIs for all departments within the company
Providing monthly headcount report including labor budget changes to executive team
Providing data for all government-mandated labor reports, including BLS Multiple Worksite Report, DOC Report of Organization, and Washington L&I Quarterly Reports
Helping Executive team in assessing productivity by providing bi-weekly report on overtime usage in each branch
Assisting in the drafting of new policies as needed to improve total rewards program while decreasing labor costs
Improving upon existing recruiting and screening techniques to reduce time-to-hire as well as increase quality of candidates provided to hiring managers
Providing assistance as needed with other HR and payroll functions within the department (onboarding, recruiting, processing payroll, etc.)
Competencies
High proficiency in Microsoft Office
Expert skills in Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros, etc.)
Mathematics/statistics skills
VBA skills preferable
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Effective communication skills (written and oral) with ability to communicate with people in potentially stressful situations
