Description:   Thisrole s responsibility is to Design, implement and provide operational supportfor SQL and/or Oracle databases in an enterprise environment. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS: Design and implement high availability database solutions anddatabase recovery solutions using SQL database clustering, Log-shipping,replication, and back-up and restore technologies. Stored procedure &trigger development DTS package/SISS development, and database security Oracle8i/10x/11gi database administration and operational support. Networkcommunications, server hardware configuration, database server operationalsupport and maintenance processes and procedures. Database clusteringtechnologies and alternative disk storage solutions. Microsoft SQL Server2000/2005/2008 R2 database. Relational database design and administration. KEYCOMEPENTENCIES: Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2012.Knowledge of SAP. Experience using Litespeed. Experience in SQL databaseperformance tuning methods including experience with Perfmon, SQL DMVs and SQLprofiler. Must be able to demonstrate excellent problem solving and root causeanalysis skills. Must possess excellent written and verbal communicationskills. Capability to demonstrate excellent leadership and team skills. Abilityto work in a team environment. Ability to read and comprehend instructions,short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write correspondence. Ability toeffectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations tocustomers, clients, and other employees of the organization. Ability tointeract effectively with all people. Strong communication skills, both verbaland written. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units ofmeasure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Knowledge of WordProcessing. Advanced knowledge of Excel in creating complex spreadsheets usingformulas, macros and defining output to meet specific needs. Ability to applycommon sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oraland diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concretevariables in standardized situations. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor sDegree or higher in computer science, engineering or related field. 10+ yearsof experience as a DBA. Must be available for after-hours on-call supportrotation.
