Job Purpose:
Responsible for the Lead Websphere BPM Developer is to translate the customer business requirements into high value services solutions by applying knowledge and architectural expertise. Designs and formulates the customer services solutions using the existing portfolio, developing new solution sets and/or integrating third party products and offerings. Position will build our BPM expertise and assist in BPM customer initiatives. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with IBM SOA and BPM technologies and must have a strong understanding of full lifecycle development (modeling, simulation, process execution and monitoring). Excellent communication skills are a must. Candidate must have a solid track record of leading teams on large scale engagements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Consults with customers to assess current problem states, define desired future states, define solution architecture and make solutions recommendations.
- Evaluates customer business, process, systems and technology requirements during the pre-sales phases, and advises customers on best practices to help guide and solidify proposed designs.
- Creates physical and logical architecture solution roadmaps for linking services solutions with customer business processes and technologies.
- Develops new solution sets if not available in current practice offerings.
- Delivers a high value services solution to the customer on time, within budget, and meeting all quality and technical specifications.
- May be involved in the implementation and delivery of services solutions to the customer.
- Help with scoping BPM based solutions for our customers and transitioning from high level design to development teams.
- Developing proof of concepts, prototypes and overall system architecture as needed for pre-sales support and post-sales implementation
- Act as a subject matter expert in IBM WebSphere Process Server, ESB, iLog and Lombardi technologies
- Supporting RFI/RFP response as subject matter expert on key technologies, and assist with solution scoping activities including implementation sizing.
- Development of BPM solutions including requirements definition, use case design and code.
- Support of quality assurance processes and testing.
Knowledge and Skills:
- 5 or more years of experience in J2EE development (JCA, EJB, JNDI)
- 5 or more years with IBM technology including WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere ESB.
- 5 or more years working with enterprise messaging including JMS, MQSeries.
- Working knowledge of rules engines including iLog a plus.
- Strong systems, problem solving and analytical skills; excellent verbal & written communication skills

- Strong understanding of diverse technical environments and platforms
Knowledge: Knowledge and skills identified are typically acquired by completing a Bachelor’s degree in an Information Technology or related field and/or may be acquired by working in related areas within the IT industry for 4 - 6 years.
Working Climate: Tasks involve the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work, but may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling of objects and materials of weight up to 10 pounds. Some international and domestic travel may be required.
