Job Description:
Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to provide support and maintenance in the development of healthcare interfaces between company and our multiple partners. They will work on our Interoperability team to ensure current interfaces are consistently up and running and work to make sure new interface builds, including testing initiatives, are implemented on time.
Essential Job Functions
- Supports maintenance of existing interfaces for all of the company Micro-hospitals.
- Works closely with other company teams in both IT and Operations to troubleshoot interface issues.
- Maintains documentation repository for interface performance reports.
- Create and manage a library of test cases consistent with organizational protocols and tools related to testing new implementations as well as regression testing of existing feature sets.
- Maintain provider relationships by supporting connected hospital implementation teams to field questions and concerns.
- May assist to update, upgrade and maintain interface engine for optimal performance and functionality.
- Provides knowledge and responsibility for designing, developing, testing and maintaining interfaces in healthcare environment, while leading the development process between vendors, and facilitate the interface needs of the outsourced client.
Other Job Functions
- Attend staff meetings or other company sponsored or mandated meetings as required.
- Ability to work off-hours and on call when required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Information Technology related field of study; or 4+ years technical work experience.
- Health Level 7 (HL7) and CDA record format expertise
- Core point Interface Engine, or other healthcare interface engine experience, preferred
- Cerner and/or Epic EMR knowledge, preferred
- Knowledge and experience with the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) process
- Position requires fluency in English; written and oral communication
