Role:Sr. HCM Programmer Analyst Location:Itasca, IL
Job description
Lead the HCM/HRIS activities for the Global Team across all regions. Coach and guide the HR team, managers and employees in the appropriate application of the HCM system.
The Global HR Team includes approximately 60 members located across various states within the US as well as other global locations. Expected to quickly evaluate situations and be able to independently provide appropriate guidance and feedback in accordance with Company practices. Where Company practices do not exist, expected to apply sound judgment based on significant functional and organizational experience. General supervision and/or direction will come from the Vice-President and Directors of Human Resources. Due to the broad and diverse nature of the role, the employee is expected to take full responsibility for the HCM/HRIS activities across the region, referring critical or exceptional situations for review. Will be responsible for analyzing and directing all functional related activities within the scope of the System. Will accountable for ensuring continuity and successful delivery of functional services to users throughout the organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
Project Management
Plan, Manage & Implement Oracle HCM implementations and upgrade projects
Assist HCM Business Champion in Oracle Vendor Management initiatives to ensure:
HR is aware, informed of all future HCM plans & product roadmaps
Address, escalate & resolve any areas of Oracle non-performance.
Technical Support
Provide technical subject matter experience, application development support
Perform HCM configuration actions to support Business designs
Provide Data Migration services either to or from HCM
Create, Manage & Maintain all data interfaces, including use of Desktop Integrator (ADFdi), File Based Loader (FBI), Payroll Batch Loader (PBI) and other standard tools
Define, schedule and maintain Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) and BI Publisher (BIP) reports and HCM extracts
Create, manage and support customizations and extensions made through the standard framework
Review and decode Fast Formulas as needed for administration
Business Analysis
Translate business and functional requirements into technical approach, solution, and technical design specifications
Define, schedule and maintain HCM Extract definitions as needed
Work closely with the Directors and VP to understand and proactively identify opportunities for the HCM function to add value to the business operations.
Develop and implement HCM programs/activities that support the overall mission and strategy of the Company.
Lead solution design, prototyping, development, and deployment of Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, and Forms customizations.
Training
Develop, conduct and continuously improve training programs to support the needs of the HR team and end users.
Proactively identify training opportunities to reinforce concepts.
General
Establish and maintain high levels of engagement throughout the Team by identifying and resolving issues having a negative impact on system usage. Identify and implement programs and activities that will result in increased engagement.
Understand, support and contribute to current Company standards and goals by following stated policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
The HCM Programmer Analyst works with all staff levels up to and including the Executive level.
