Company currently seeking a Civil Engineer to assist in the determination of the origin, cause and extent of failures, water intrusions, and construction defects.
Duties in this key position involve the investigation and analysis of residential, commercial, and industrial properties and/or systems for the purpose of providing consultation and professional opinions for the resolution of claims and/or legal disputes.
Assignments will include site evaluations, oral and written reports that document origins and causes of failure, extents of loss, and often recommended remediation. You will be required to provide professional opinions and expert testimony.
Duties include consulting, conducting investigations, travel, gathering and processing evidence, photography, measurements, engineering analysis, and oversight of destructive or field testing.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND Duties Responsibilities: will include but are not limited to the following: Performs forensic assignments within the field of civil/structural engineering expertise based upon a scope of work, schedule, and budget prepared by the consultant and agreed upon by the client in advance of performing the work.
Field Investigations:
Study and determine the cause and origin of failures, damage, accidents, construction defects or structural failures.
Produces professional quality written forensic reports detailing the causes and origins as required by the various clientele company serves.May serve as team leader or project manager.
May be required to supervise and/or evaluate performance of associate team members.Ability to initiate, develop and maintain mutually beneficial client relationships.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, AND EXPERIENCE B.S. :
Civil Engineering degree or higher. Arizona P.E. or ability to obtain promptly.5 - 15+ years of experience.
Direct construction management or general contractor experience is desired, but not required.
Experience in Land Development, including construction, hydrology, hydraulics and/or geotechnical is a plus.
Must have high level of analytical skills. Work requires high level attention to detail with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Must be able to interact and effectively communicate, both verbally and written, with various internal and external clients.
Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Applications and computer assisted engineering and design software.
