Job Description
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership in developing architectural standards, solution design and implement best practices on the Terada platform.
Capacity planning, performance & workload management ( TASM)
Expert with management tools - View Point, Teradata Studio, Administrator, PDCR, CPPT etc.
SQL & System Optimization- Compression, Ferret, DBS Control etc.
Keep current on the technology. Lead Upgrades. Develop and contribute to strategic vision for the Teradata platform.
Support release management & version control. Should work in the AGILE Environment
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in Teradata database management & Architecture.
Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent education and work required in areas of Teradata DBMS, Utilities, Workload Management and Monitoring (Viewpoint) as well as strong UNIX skills.
Experience in Teradata 14 or higher preferred.
Experience with Teradata Unified Data Architecture, Teradata enterprise data warehouse and appliances, Hadoop and Aster.
Understanding of Data Modelling Concepts – 3NF, Star etc.
Experience with working in an on shore/ off shore model and leading teams.
Working knowledge of BI, ETL and Data visualization tools such as Business Object, Tableau, QlikView.
Highly organized and detailed oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Teradata 12, 14 Masters a big plus.
