Job Description:

Role:DevOps Engineer

Location:Fort Worth, TX


Responsibilities

  • Will act as a thought leader and champion for the principles of DevOps and Agile, espousing The Three Ways, continuous integration and continuous development
  • Helps lead the organizations automated testing efforts, embedding the knowledge within the teams to use test driven development, automated testing during build, performance and load testing as well as automated regression testing
  • Work with the teams to streamline and automate the delivery pipeline, allowing developers to continuously integrate and deploy their code within the bounds of the coffee rule
  • Collaborate with Scrum teams and our IS team to develop fast feedback loops to help the team understand the performance of their applications in real time
  • Owns the application performance monitoring solution and works with the teams to embed the tool into their daily work routine to evaluate application performance in real time- Develop and manage the artifact repository
  • Work with the teams to develop tools and processes necessary to accelerate our flow of work, remove constraints and operate according to a lean approach
  • Investigates and evaluates options for deployment environments, including on-prem, virtualized and cloud based solutions


Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Ecommerce, Computer Science or related area
  • You should be very familiar with who Gene Kim and Jez Humble are, and why they are important to the modern software development organization
  • 5+ years of experience in a high transaction ecommerce environment
  • 2+ years of experience in an environment that has been using DevOps and Agile/Scrum
  • Strong understanding continuous delivery tools including Visual Studio Team Services, GitHub, Chef (or similar), Selenium (or similar), Docker
  • Strong understanding of cloud based deployments including infrastructure as code, containers and microservices
  • Experience with high end application performance monitoring solutions such as Dynatrace, Riverbed AppInternals or AppDynamics
  • Strong communications skills- Strong interpersonal skills
  • Candidate must be available to work on-site
  • Comfortable presenting in front of groups, including executive management
  • Strong research and analytical skills- Must be able to work with autonomy
