Location: Edwardsville, Illinois

Responsibilities

• Designs cabinet structures for housing electronic components and assemblies
• Designs large displays with emphasis on serviceability, manufacturability and quality
• Performs calculations to meet applicable building codes and for site specific installationUses theoretical and practical knowledge to ensure the integrity of mechanical designs
• Performs calculations to ensure structural integrity of custom scoreboard installationsUses geometric tolerance stacks to verify design for manufacturing
• Document designs using drawings, Bills of Material and change management system
• Works with manufacturing personnel on pilot builds of new products to ensure a sound manufacturing process
• Create optimized CNC punch press programs to minimize machine run time and increase product throughput
• Use layout software to create configuration files for multiple video sizes, orientations, color settings, etc.

Requirements

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
• Strong background in sheet metal design and CAD experience
• Working knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor and Vault
• Ability to perform stress/load calculations in large cabinet assembly and installation
• Experience with office equipment, including computer and standard office software (MS Office), documentation control software, Bills of Material management, etc.
• Experience programming CNC and turret punch presses is preferred
• Sports industry knowledge and interest preferred
