Title:C# .NET Developer. Duration: 6 months Skills:IIS, HTML/Web Presentation Layer, Web Services Salesforce, Workday, Concur, Cornerstone The Lead Developer, Business Information Systems role within Merkle is responsible for analysis, design, development, and maintenance of in-house and third-party applications used to fulfill organizational objectives. These applications and systems range in complexity from simple reports to complex database projects and systems integration initiatives. Candidates must be capable of translating business requirements into actionable design and development tasks, as well as the timely delivery of quality components within the proposed solutions framework. The incumbent must be a dynamic contributor, passionate about design, development, and making a difference individually and as part of a team. The position may report to the Associate Director or Director, Business Information Systems. Essential Tasks and Responsibilities: Design and implement optimal solutions to simple and complex business problems / opportunities. Lead complex, enterprise software development projects, using matrixed development team members and contract developers to complete tasks on time/budget. Communicate clearly and effectively with sponsors, stakeholders, and project team members. Maintain 3rd party software applications, procedures, and configurations. Maintain and/or enhance internally developed applications and procedures. Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Develop new applications, procedures, and interfaces. Document application, procedures, and systems configurations at the technical and user level. Adhere to existing Change Management process and procedures to ensure successful, risk-free promotion of deliverables. Identify and exploit new technologies, techniques, and methodologies. Uphold and promote Merkle’s core values and culture Measures of Success: Utilize application support processes and structures to ensure system stability and user satisfaction. Successfully participate in “Root Cause” efforts to identify and remediate technology and business process issues. Contribute to the development and evolution of architectural standards and corporate Best Practices. Positive recognition by peers as an expert in multiple areas. Skills/Requirements: Extensive understanding of MS desktop/server Operating Systems. Extensive knowledge of .NET, C#, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XS/XSLT, MS Visual Studio 2008/2010. In depth knowledge of Web Technologies (IIS, HTML/Web Presentation Layer, Web Services). Thorough understanding of MS SQL 2000/2005/2008 (Table Design/Administration; Stored Procedures, OLTP, OLAP). Expertise with all relevant areas of the Microsoft Technology Stack. Proficient with MS Office Suite. Experience in SaaS (Software as a Service) platforms to include Salesforce, Workday, Concur, Cornerstone. Knowledge of traditional back-office systems and applications supporting Finance (AP, AR, GL) Human Resources (Payroll, Benefits, Performance Management, Applicant Tracking) Provide on-call and after-hours support as required. Education/Experience: 5+ years of experience designing, developing and supporting custom and third-party (COTS) applications. Experience building and maintaining enterprise-class business systems that meet and exceed business expectations. Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable field of study from a four-year college or university, or the equivalent experience. Certifications, technical training, or other relevant experience.
