Position:Senior ServiceNow Developer

Location:Washington DC

Duration:LongTerm Contract

• Experience with SerivceNow custom application development including custom Service Portal widget creation REST Integrations with 3rd party enterprise business applications Service Portal Development
• Serve as a Senior ServiceNow developer on a cross functional development team which develops custom applications and workflow solutions
• Design and develop custom application on the Now Platform to meet business requirements, including implementation of client scripts, business rules, workflows, and custom Service Portal widgets.
• Collaborate with application teams to design and implement data interfaces with other enterprise application systems.
• Create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each.
• Develop and manage operational metrics reporting and dashboards.
• Collaborate with members of project teams to ensure successful, technically sound projects which are completed on time and on budget
• Support the development and analysis of customer requirements and assist with the development of user stories.
• Perform application testing
• Create and maintain system design and operations documentation
• Provide advanced application support to internal team members
• Provide mentoring, training and knowledge transfer to other employees as necessary, particularly regarding ServiceNow capabilities and development techniques
• Lead team activities as needed, including those which are part of the Agile process such as scrum meetings
• Excellent communications skills

• Experience with use of Agile methodologies for software development

RequiredEducation, Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, with 5 years of relevant experience
• 3 or more years of development experience using the ServiceNow platform
• In depth knowledge of development on the ServiceNow Platform, including client and server scripting, ServiceNow REST API, and custom widget development in Service Portal.
• Experience developing, updating, and interpreting JavaScript on the ServiceNow platform
• Knowledge of ServiceNow development and configuration best practices
• Knowledge of ServiceNow database hierarchies and design
• Experience with development, customization, and administration of multiple components of ServiceNow.
