Job Description:
Cardiac Rehab Nurse
Main Function:
Collaborates with the ordering
provider to prescribe and monitor exercise workloads and target heart rates
appropriate to each individual during each exercise session. Monitors and
records vital signs during exercise sessions. Communicates effectively with the
healthcare team to monitor compliance and appropriately manage symptoms.
Develops teaching curriculum in conjunction with Nutrition Services, Sleep
Clinic, and the ordering provider including lectures, class participation and
patient educational materials. Must demonstrate ability to read and operate
cardiac monitor, recognize normal/abnormal rhythms, and institute appropriate
interventions
