Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
Develop the strategic QA approach for MSI testing organization.
Strong Offshore coordinator (70-80% time would be spent in this area).
Hands on application knowledge and acquire subject matter expertise
Estimates timeframe, quality and quantity of QA resources required to successfully deliver on all testing activities for projects.
Manage resource plans working with the project managers on QA resource demand and forecasting.
Create test plans for projects and system enhancements.
Review high level test scenarios with team to ensure adequate test coverage.
Assign testers to create detailed test cases to support SIT and UAT testing.
Review and approve test plans for projects and system enhancements.
Develop and maintain automation test strategy, set up test data/accounts to facilitate automation testing.
Works with application teams to establish performance test environments, set up test data/accounts to facilitate performance testing.
Build positive working relationships with business and IT organizations.
Solid experience with testing tools, techniques, processes, methodologies.
Solid experience with Agile & Waterfall methodologies.
Exposure to DW/ BI testing a plus.
Owns Quality & Schedule of deliverables
Serve as the escalation point of contact for project team risks, issues, and status.
Utilize project management skills to plan and supervise the teams work.
Provides management and technical leadership to project team.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws. May require interviewing, hiring, and employees: addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Tracking, reviewing & monitoring of teams deliverables (test cases, test results, defect reports etc.)
Promote and drive metrics into all areas of the organization
Perform other related duties as required.
Position Qualifications:
Strong SQL skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills evidenced by the ability to present information effectively.
Strong performance tuning, understanding of collateral components and isolating techniques.
Bachelor's Degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills may be acquired
8+ years Information Technology/Quality Assurance
2+ years as Lead or Manager
QA tool expertise and best practices
Demonstrated experience implementing QA best practices.
Demonstrated strong collaboration and positive influence skills.
Proven resource management and mentoring experience.
Experience working with onshore/offshore teams.
Proven analytical and problem solving skills
