Job Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marine, Physics, or similar degree. Masters degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in leadership and managing technical teams with a proven track record of identifying and applying technologies applicable.
- Experience in driving strategic and high visibility company-wide programs on a global scale with high degree of ambiguity.
- Ability to think strategically and execute methodically
- Able to work with cross functional teams, develop direct reports, and build rapport with colleagues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to work effectively with a broad range of people from corporate executives, region managers and field employees to government regulatory personnel and customers.
- Excellent presentation and communications skills - both oral and written.
- A high level of integrity in all situations.
- Travel can be expected (approximately 10%, domestic, international, & offshore).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Active member of management team supporting SVP and peers in achieving common goals towards safe, efficient, and cost-effective drilling operation.
- Lead by example to create a fun, curious, ambitious, and safe environment where feedback is welcomed as an efficient way to develop personal and professional skills. Create a team where all feels included, safe and willing to contribute.
- Build trust and prove results by demonstrating transparency and provable progress on the efforts made under the decarbonization program. Positioning client as the contractor that can deliver efficient and low emission drilling operations.
- Set the bar for how high for how transformative projects are made to deliver on emission reduction targets as well as foster more responsible investments to drive a sustainable offshore drilling business.
- Ensure results are achieved through exploring cutting edge solutions and developing internal expertise to pave the way to a more efficient and responsible drilling operation.
- Build team momentum by arranging tasks and assignments that would yield concrete and visible output while improving team capabilities.
