Sr. Salesforce Specialist, Houston (On-site)

Job Description:

The Salesforce.com (SFDC) Specialist is responsible for implementing, customizing, and developing solutions on the SFDC platform. The position will provide escalated tier technical support to fully licensed SFDC users and Communities users as needed.


Duties And Responsibilities


May include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Recommend SFDC integration and functionality within Order to Cash and Customer Satisfaction processes
  • Train SFDC users to ensure users are optimizing tool value.
  • Evaluate new SFDC releases and develop plans for their implementation as needed. Stay current with SFDC development best practices and initiate team training and adoption
  • Apply knowledge of the Force.com platform and identify/document the need for custom solutions, assists in designing those solutions as needed
  • Develop and maintain SFDC Visual Force pages, Apex classes & triggers, and integrations with 3rd party systems
  • Analyze and optimize SFDC related workflows, platform design, and set up
  • Imports/Exports data with Data Loader
  • Builds and maintains reports and dashboards for users as needed
  • Write design documentation and training materials to support business needs
  • Provide escalated technical support to user base of fully licensed SFDC users and Communities users as needed via phone and/or email
  • Effectively supervises SFDC Specialist & Pricing Coordinator
  • Back up SFDC Specialist & Pricing Coordinator as needed
  • Completes additional duties as assigned by manager


Education, Experience And Qualifications


  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field
  • 5+ years of practical SFDC Administrator experience
  • Solid understanding of Order to Cash process, ERP systems and related tools
  • 3-5 years of technical support experience
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales concepts and applications
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Some exposure to building products or retail industry is helpful
  • Good systems aptitude - SAP & JDE experience is a plus
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong basic math skills
  • SFDC Administrator certification
  • SFDC Developer and/or SFDC Advanced Administrator certification or certification in progress preferable
  • Exposure to SFDC proprietary technologies: Visual Force and Apex code
  • Microsoft Office , including Access
